| In addition to the cement company, this site was also home to the Newaygo Furniture Company, Rowe Manufacturing, the Newaygo Separator Company, and Newaygo Engineering. Power to the site was supplied by a small hydroelectric dam which crossed the river just below where the M37 bridge crosses. The dam was removed in the early 1970's. |
